Using technologies and programming in my recent work has allowed me to re-examine how technology can interact with human bodies in a physically spatial context. In particular, the work Bodies/Noise uses a PIR sensor, that uses infrared under the restraints of 15 feet, to trigger a sequence of white LEDs in a 4:3 ratio matrix with the presence of a human body, and stop with the absence of one. Dependent the on the attention span of the human body, as well as the number of bodies the noise completes or stops mid-sequence, in being so bodies stand in for electromagnetic radiation and the code a fictive photograph of presence/absence.
